If you need an Editor, IPBS can recommend one to you, but does not provide editing as a service directly.
All contributing authors will be expected to publish a minimum of one episode a week on the same day of each week until Vella story is complete. Upon completion, all contributors will have 35-45 days to have their stories final edited for e-book publication.
Book series numbers are allowed if only in relation to a continuing publication. IE: Death of John Doe I (Fairytales Untold Series), Death of John Doe II (Fairytales Untold Series)
Publishing schedule will be discussed and agreed upon with all participants involved.
The Vella cover layout created by Amazon (with the cover you're provided through your participation) will need to be provided to IPBS along with direct link so that all stories can be added to the website.
- Acceptable genres: PNR, UF, Fantasy Romance; ALL must be SWEET romance, but does NOT need to be CLEAN.
- Minimum word count: 10K, to be published as Vella episodes until story is complete, then published as e-book following Vella completion.
- Title MUST coincide with branding.
- Cover designs will be branded. There will be a limited selection of branded premades available to choose from. If there is a demand, more covers can be made.
Participation Fee:
- $50 – participation, ebook cover, and Vella cover
- Optional $10 add-on for paperback to coincide with e-book
- Optional custom commission (contact designer here to request commissioned design; additional fee will apply.)
STORY CONTENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Your main character should somehow be connected to a classic fairytale character.
- To avoid plagiarism and copyright issues, please do NOT use actual names of characters from any stories owned by companies such as Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, etc.
- Vella episodes MUST be between 6 and 10 tokens per episode. NOT TO EXCEED 10 TOKENS.
- Age group: ADULT (heat levels 1-4; no straight erotica)
- REQUIRED GENRE: PNR, UF, Fantasy Romance; ALL must be SWEET romance, but does NOT need to be CLEAN
- New work, not previously published
